Stuttering Twins - Groove Dual Tremolo

Un trémolo calido y musical con dos canales conmutables es la nueva creación de Groove Electronics. Con este pedal es posible tener dos ajustes (depth y speed) de trémolo conmutables mediante un switch de pié ("select").

El led rojo y el verde indican qué par de controles se están utilizando. Un tercer led muestra la velocidad (speed) del trémolo dependiendo en qué canal (rojo o verde) se encuentre.

Ya no es necesario agacharse en medio de una presentación para ajustar el parámetro del trémolo, ahora es posible contar con dos ajustes conmutables inmediatamente.

English Version

A warm and musical tremolo effect is the newest creation of Groove Electronics. With this pedal you can save two settings (speed and depth pair) of the tremolo and call them just pressing the "select" footswitch. Each channel has a distinctive color (red and green), so its easy to see them on stage. A third led shows the rate of the selected channel.

Now with Suttering Twins you don't need to bend over to adjust the parameters according to the song, just keep two settings and select which one you'll use.

Este nuevo pedal es el complemento perfecto para el guitarrista de Fusión. Cumple la misma función que Vulcano Boosterizer.

La gracia de este pedal es que el Overdrive puede ser utilizado solo o como booster de otro pedal, por esa razón cuenta con un loop (send - return), para poder conectar una distorsión u otro overdrive y así dejar todos los efectos de ganancia antes del boost (switch "boost") que aumenta el volumen.

Características:

Overdrive: Posee controles de gain, level, tone y "hump" (ajuste de medios-altos), además de un switch que conmuta entre tres tipos de saturación (blues, crunch y nada).

Booster: Lineal y limpio con volumen ajustable mediante una única perilla.

English Version

A powerful overdrive, loop and linear booster makes this unit a perfect complement for Fusion guitarist. With similar specs as Vulcano Boosterizer, Hazz & Gruv is a great tool for gigs.

The trick is the send return loop that lets you connect any pedal that must be after the overdrive and before the booster, for example, you can use the overdrive to boost another overdrive to increase gain.

Features:

Overdrive: Gain, level, tone and hump controls, plus a 3 way switch to select between three different styles of saturation (blues, crunch, none).

Booster: Linear clean booster to increase the level during leads. One knob adjust the overall level.

¿Cansado de los phaser con sólo una perilla y sin posibilidad de adaptar su sonido a tu gusto?

Groove Electronics se enorgullece en presentar un nuevo phaser, con opciones ilimitadas y en un formato compacto. Todo lo que debe ser un phaser y más es lo que os vengo a presentar.

Características:

Dos osciladores independientes, sinusoidal y ramp, conmutables mediante un switch de pié. Switch externo para cambiar la velocidad del oscilador ramp. Controles y switches varios que permiten ajustar variados parámetros del efecto.

I. Controles:

Speed: Regula la velocidad del oscilador sinusoidal. El led azul bajo el control muestra la velocidad.
Depth: Regula la profundidad de la señal desfasada. Afecta a los dos osciladores.
Ramp: Ajusta la velocidad de cambio entre las dos velocidades del oscilador ramp.
Higher: Velocidad alta del oscilador ramp.
Lower: Velocidad baja del oscilador ramp.

II.- Switches:

FB: Conmuta entre dos opciones de feedback.
Vibrato: produce un efecto de vibrato, al cual se le puede variar la velocidad mediante los controles de velocidad de cualquiera de los osciladores.
Weird: Mezcla los osciladores produciendo un efecto de onda desordenado y pseudo aleatorio.
Vibe 1: Conmuta los primeros condensadores del filtro para lograr un efecto tipo Univibe.
Vibe 2: Conmuta los segundos condensadores del filtro para lograr un efecto tipo Univibe.

English Version

An amazing phase shifter with a lot of features has born to satisfy any shifter needs.

Features:

Two independent oscillators, sine and ramp, selectable via a footswitch. External footswitch to change the speed (higher to lower; lower to higher) of the ramp oscillator. Many controls and switches to tweak a lot of parameters.

I. Controls:

Speed: Adjust the speed of the sine oscillator. Blue led shows the speed.
Depth: Adjust the depth of the shifted signal. Works with both oscillators.
Ramp: Adjust the change speed between the two ramp oscillator speeds.
Higher: higher speed of the ramp osc.
Lower: lower speed of the ramp osc.

II.- Switches:

FB: Selects two type of feedback.
Vibrato: Produce a vibrato effect in both oscillators.
Weird: Mixes both oscillators, producing a weird pseudo aleatory effect.
Vibe 1: Changes the first pair filter capacitors to get an effect similar to Univibe.
Vibe 2: Changes the second pair filter capacitors to get an effect similar to Univibe.

Una herramienta esencial ha sido creada para un pedalboard. Cuenta con varias características intersantes que permiten al músico tener control absoluto de su sistema.

Características:

- Input Selector "SELECT": Conmuta la entrada de instrumentos, específicamente entre un bajo de 4 y otro de 6 cuerdas.

- Tuner Out "TUNER": Desvía la señal hacia un afinador.

- Looper "BYPASS": Looper true bypass que permite conectar todos los efectos a través de él, conmutando entre pasar por ellos o ir directamente hacia el amplificador.

- Booster "BOOST": Booster al final de la cadena, independiente del Looper Bypass. Ideal para solos o frases lead.

TC Electronic Nova Delay external switch mod

El delay digital "Nova Delay" es una pieza de arte convertida en pedal. Su calidad y sonido lo hacen ser uno de los delay más cotizados en la actualidad. El pedal es muy bueno, pero tiene un par de detalles que dificulta el control de sus funciones, sobretodo en vivo.

Luego de tocar un par de años con este pedal y estudiar su accesibilidad, determiné que era necesario realizar un par de modificaciones para obtener de él el máximo. Es así como nació esta modificación de control externo, que permite al guitarrista acceder a los bancos y modo manual con mayor simpleza y rapidez.

El footswitch externo cuenta con dos switches, "manual" y "preset", los mismos switches táctiles que tiene el pedal. Teniendo acceso a estos switches mediante el pié es muy simple y efectivo el control completo del pedal, extendiendo su potencial y haciéndolo amigable para tocar en vivo. Los switches táctiles del pedal siguen funcionando como siempre.

The TC Electronic Nova Delay is a state of the art delay, with very unique features and amazing sound quiality. The only problem with this pedal is its playability, specially on gigs.

After years playing with the Nova I realize that something was necessary to increase its playability, so I built an external footswitch to access the "manual" and "preset" tactile switches with my feet.

With this mod the Nova has reached a new level of playability, making things easier for players. This mod is not necessary... its essential.

Un excelente delay ha entrado al taller de Groove Electronics para salir recargado. La modificación consiste en tener dos seteos en un mismo banco, conmutables mediante el switch superior.

Se le conoce como "double preset mod", pero más que doblar los presets lo que hace es tener la opción de contar con dos seteos de un mismo delay en cualesquiera de los tres bancos disponibles, doblando en parte la cantidad de seteos y sonoridades disponibles.

English Version

A new buffer/line driver is now part of a customer pedalboard. Just like its previous version contains a very effective buffer that helps the signal pass through the cables without the "tone loss". It offers a high input (about 1M Ohm) and low output impedance (about 1K Ohm). If you have a lot of True Bypass pedals, this tool is for you.

It also has a "tuner mute" jack to connect a tuner. A professional tool for the demanding musician.

Custom Japan - TBP loop, Boost & Boss EQ-20 control mod

Un nuevo sistema custom se incorpora a la amplia gama de soluciones personalizadas de Groove Electronics. Requisitos funcionales y estéticos fueron las prioridades tras este pedal.

Custom Japan consiste en:

- Looper True Bypass: Conmuta entre pasar a través de los pedales conectados por el loop del pedal o ir directamente hacia el amplificador.

- Boost: Booster al final del loop TBP, independiente, para aumentar el volumen del bajo.

- Control: Switch que permite recorrer los bancos (del 1 al 9) del ecualizador gráfico Boss EQ-20 sin la necesidad de agacharse para cambiarlos. Este switch integrado a Custom Japan requiere de la modificación del pedal Boss EQ-20. Mediante un simple cable desbalanceado (común de guitarra) se puede acceder al "program" del Boss y conmutar fácilmente los bancos, lo cual era imposible hacer antes sin agacharse.

Un pedal sin precedentes y con un look que recuerda a la isla, rindiendo tributo a ella.

Custom Japan

"Custom Japan" is a custom solution for a bass player. This pedal has many features that makes it very unique.

- Looper True Bypass: A true bypass looper that selects between the bypassed signal and the processed one, connected through the "Send-Return" loop of this unit. In other words, a standard TBP loop.

- Boost: A nice sparkle booster after the TBP loop, to enhance the volume of the bass guitar.

- Control: This switch lets the player to stomp through the Boss EQ-20 banks without bending over (a classic and unexplainable problem with this pedal). Its a simple momentary switch connected to the Boss EQ-20 new jack (previous modified by me). Now you get full control with your feet over the features of this pedal. No more bending over to select a saved preset, just stomp to reach it and play... this mod is an essential in a live/gig situation.

As I said, Custom Japan is a powerful tool that helps the player to have full control over his setup. Also a nice look that tributes Japan.

The Pink Swoosh - Flanger

The Pink Swoosh.

Swooshing es lo que define a este rosado flanger, único es su especie y con suficiente filo para lograr sonidos magistrales. Si Funkadelic lo escuchase, seguro me reclutan en la banda. Tal vez el mismo EVH me contacte para obtener uno. Sin exagerar, este flanger es musical y muy adecuado para cualquier estilo.

Posee 4 controles: Manual, Width, Regen, y Rate
Switch de modo: Odd, Even, Regen off (switch al centro).

Al estar con el switch al centro se pueden lograr sonoridades propias de un chorus.

La prueba de fuego fue tocar la introducción de "Unchained"... una delicia hecha a medida para quien les escribe.

The Pink Swoosh (as his name implies) is a super duper swooshing flanger, PINK, with all the groove inside. Very funky and suitable for all styles of music. Maybe EVH ask me for one...

4 controls: Manual, Width, Regen and Rate.
Mode switch: selects between even flanging regeneration, odd or nothing (chorus like).

How I test it? Grabbed my guitar, turn on the drive channel and played EVH's "Unchained" intro... yes, very convincing to me.

Custom made for me... again.

Colesterol - line driver, tuner out & dirty boost

Colesterol

Un pedal ideal para provocar ataques cardiacos, "saturando" las venas del sonido y realizando bypass para evitar la inminente muerte. Contiene alimentos que no son recomendados para personas con altos niveles de colesterol: leche, carne y huevo. Si eres propenso a tener el colesterol alto, este pedal no es para ti.

- Leche: Desvía la señal hacia un afinador para "afinar" en silencio.
- Carne: Activa un booster sucio, una especie de overdrive ideal para saturar otros drives y canales de amplificadores.
- Huevo: Regula la cantidad de "huevos" del booster sucio.

Además, "Colesterol" contiene un buffer para que la sangre circule con más fuerza a través de las venas.

Ya lo sabes, si tu doctor te dijo que evitaras aliementos altos en grasas saturadas, "Colesterol" no es apto para ti.

English Version

Colesterol (en. "Cholesterol")

An outstanding guitar pedal; a useful tool for today's guitar player. "Colesterol" produces higher levels of lipidic waxy, causing heart attack on any player who tends to play with this pedal.

Features:

- Leche (en. Milk): An AB switch to select between two outputs. Ideal to select between the amplifier or tuner. Silent tuning is the key word here.
- Carne (en. Meat): This switch enables a dirty booster, overdrive workalike with just one control (volume). Perfect to use it as a stand alone OD or boost another one, gettin' more gain and definition.
- Huevo (en. Egg): The volume control of "Carne".

Another interesting feature is an "always on" buffer circuitry, that helps signal to pass through the cables without loosing highs. Buffer pedals are the new black because of the amount of rigs with TBP pedals and/or poorly designed fet switching ones.

Blues Jam - Overdrive

Blues Jam

Blues Jam es un overdrive que va desde un maravilloso crunch hasta un sensacional mid gain overdrive. Ideal para un Jam en donde el Bourbon y el tabaco barato ambientan el club. Para todos aquellos que tienen el alma azul, "Blues Jam" es una obligación en el sonido.

Posee tres modos de saturación seleccionables mediante el switch central:

- Crunch: saturación más abierta y cristalina.
- Blues: saturación cremosa y con mayor ganancia.
- Central: overdrive que recuerda la saturación de amplificadores.

Aparte de lo anterior, cuenta con 4 controles que definen aún más el sonido.

Una particularidad es que se lleva muy bien trabajando en conjunto con otros overdrives, antes o después de "Blues Jam", con lo que se puede lograr mayor saturación y tacto. Otra característica es su dinámica incomparable, ya que es posible limpiar un poco el sonido controlando el volumen de la guitarra.

English Version

Blues Jam is a boutique sounding overdrive, with amazing "slow blues" and crunchy sound. Suitable for most styles, but it should be use during a gig while Bourbon and cheap tobacco tore down the house.

Features 4 control knobs and a three position switch that selects between three types of clipping. The excelent crunch mode emulates some vintage Marshalls. Center position is a no clipping stage suitable for boosting, and the blues mode is the standard blues mood, rich and fuller.

Nice dynamics and presence, plus a constant mid hump perfect for boosting. Blues Jam offers nice fusion sounds too.

Exclusively crafted for me... lucky me, hu?
